He moves from a corporate position at Raycom’s Charlotte headquarters to oversee sales at its Lubbock, Texas, NBC affiliate.
Raycom Media’s NBC affiliate KCBD Lubbock, Texas (DMA 145), has appointed Hugh Hardage general sales manager.
He is a veteran in television with a career spanning more than 20 years. His sales experience has taken him to stations in Florida, Illinois and North Carolina.
He joined Raycom Media in 2012 when he became local sales manager at WECT Wilmington, N.C. Later, he was promoted to local and digital sales manager of Raycom’s WAVE Louisville, Ky.
Most recently, he has been a sales and management trainer at Raycom’s corporate offices in Charlotte, N.C., where he helped create the Raycom Media sales training program.
“Hugh’s multimedia sales experience is what drew us to him,” said Dan Jackson, KCBD VP-GM. “His knowledge and enthusiasm make him an excellent choice to lead our sales teams.”
Hardage is from Texas, growing up in Arlington. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in advertising.
