David Hutchinson and Chad MacDonald elevated at syndicator.
Program Partners promoted two of its top executives Monday. David Hutchinson has been named senior vice president, program operations and new media, and Chad MacDonald has been named executive director, TV research, regional sales manager. Both executives, the company said, have played an essential role in expanding the company’s television distribution operation.
Hutchinson—previously vice president, business development & operations—will be responsible for innovations in the company’s program distribution systems and technologies and for expanding the reach and revenue opportunities of its brands on new media platforms.
“Our broadband and new media activity has more than doubled in the last year, and David has been driving it,” said Josh Raphaelson, a Program Partners principal. “Clearly, we’ve got our best man on this.”
Before joining Program Partners in 2003, Hutchinson was vice president of broadband operations for ARTISTdirect, where he headed production of the popular Fan Conference series, featuring The Foo Fighters, Beck, Incubus, k.d. Lang and others. In addition to his sales, marketing and production expertise in television and interactive entertainment, Hutchinson is also a certified project management professional (PMP) and serves as an advisory board member for ad:tech, one of the nation’s fastest growing digital marketing conferences.
MacDonald was Program Partner’s director of research & regional sales. Now both his research and sales roles are growing to accommodate a rapidly expanding program slate.
Prior to joining Program Partners in 2005, MacDonald was an associate director for Paramount’s Entertainment Tonight. He earned his ratings expertise as manager, TV research, with Paramount Pictures Television Distribution Division on ET, The Insider, Frasier, Becker, NCIS, The Dead Zone, Maximum Exposure and Cheers. In addition to his sales, research and marketing expertise, MacDonald is also a certified member of the Director’s Guild of America.
