Group owner will distribute video from its stations to others.
ClipSyndicate, an online video advertising and content syndication platform, announced Wednesday that Meredith Corp. has signed a syndication agreement to distribute video from Meredith’s 14 TV stations to stations on the ClipSyndicate network. Stations include local CBS, NBC, FOX, and CW affiliates across the country.
“Through ClipSyndicate, we can distribute our content in a safe, legal environment and connect with audiences we have not been able to reach,” said Tim Reynolds, director, interactive media for Meredith Broadcasting Group. “With the permissions put in place by the ClipSyndicate platform, we can leverage the viral power of the Internet while keeping all rights intact and earn incremental revenue.”
ClipSyndicate enables broadcasters and other video content producers to monetize their content and extend their brands through an Internet distribution channel. The company syndicates video clips to thousands of vertical Web sites and blogs in need of video for their end-users, while providing advertisers new reach to an extremely targeted audience.
