Group broadcaster signs its second station in less than a week with new Fox primetime network, bringing clearances to nearly 56%
Following closely on the heels of the announcement last Friday that Young Broadcasting Inc.’s KRON San Francisco had signed an affiliation deal with Fox’s My Network TV, the two companies closed a second affiliate deal today for KELO-DT Sioux Falls, S.D. (DMA No. 114). The announcement brings My Network TV’s clearance total to 66 stations representing nearly 56% of the country.
“We are delighted to expand our current affiliation agreement with Young Broadcasting for KRON in San Francisco to include KELO-DT in Sioux Falls,” said Jack Abernethy, CEO of Fox Television Stations, adding: “We look forward to working with Young on bringing My Network TV to viewers in both of these markets.”
Vincent Young, chairman of YBI, stated: “These deals mark a rare opportunity in our business to be part of a new network that comes out of the box with a solid pedigree.”
My Network TV will launch on Sept. 5.
