Michael Roberts assumes same title as he’s had at WB,
Michael Roberts has been named CW’s executive vice president, current programming.
He will report to Dawn Ostroff, the new network’s president of entertainment and will supervise and provide creative direction for all scripted series on CW’s primetime schedule.
Roberts has been executive vice president, current programming at WB since February 2005. He had been overseeing WB’s current programming department since July 2004 when he was named senior vice president, current programming.
“We’re thrilled to welcome such a talented executive as Michael to The CW,” said Ostroff. “He’ll be charged with overseeing our primetime line-up of high-quality, established hits while maintaining strong relationships in the creative community, and we know he will excel in every respect.”
CW is a joint venture between Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS Corp. and is scheduled to launch in this fall.
