Fox News Debuts ‘America Cheers Together’

Fox News Channel on Thursday introduced a reoccurring segment as a part of the network’s America Together initiative entitled America Cheers Together, showcasing the unified and resilient American spirit through the lens of professional sporting events.

Led by America’s Newsroom anchor Ed Henry, this ongoing series during the network’s three-hour morning news offering spotlights how sports have helped guide the country through times of tragedy and triumph.

In the first installment, FNC contributor and sportscaster Jim Gray joined Henry to discuss the NFL’s plans to start the 2020 season in September and how the move will help bring a sense of normalcy back to the American public. The two will also dissect how all professional sports leagues, including baseball, hockey and basketball, plan to ensure the safety of their players and what fans can expect as we start to see play resume. Future segments will feature professional athletes, sportscasters and other guests across a variety of fields.
