She will head PR for the owned stations and My Network TV.
Fox today named Erica Keane vice president of media relations for Fox Television Stations. She will oversee all public relations functions for the 35 Fox owned-and-operated stations as well as the soon to be launched My Network TV.
Keane will report directly to Brian Lewis, executive vice president of corporate communications for Fox Television Stations, who oversees all corporate communications and public relations functions for the television and online divisions of Fox Television Stations, as well as the television, radio and online sectors of Fox News. She will work closely with Jack Abernethy, CEO of Fox Television Stations.
In making the announcement, Lewis said, “Erica’s remarkable track record of success along with her results-oriented style makes her the perfect person to oversee the Fox stations and My Network TV.” He added that Keane would work closely with Les Isner, vice president of media relations of Twentieth Television, to “ensure a successful launch for My Network TV.”
Keane joins Fox from Hill and Knowlton Inc. where she was a senior vice president, developing and implementing corporate communications programs clients including Ameriprise, Feld Entertainment, Deloitte & Touche, Hewlett Packard and Ford Motor Co. Prior to her work for Hill and Knowlton, she was a senior account supervisor for Dan Klores Communications, managing media relations for The Scotts Co., Esquire and Pepsi-Cola. Previously, Keane held public relations positions at NBC News, serving as the senior press manager for Today and as a senior publicist for MSNBC. She joined the network as a junior publicist at CNBC.
