Liberman Broadcasting cuts a deal with CCA to air the Spanish-language network in Brownsville-McAllen, El Paso, Waco and Longview. The four markets cover 5% of Hispanic TV homes.
Liberman Broadcasting today said that it has signed on four Texas stations belonging to Communications Corporation of America stations as affiliates of Estrella TV, Liberman’s Spanish-language network.
The stations: KVEO Brownsville-McAllen (Hispanic market 10), KTSM El Paso (Hispanic market 16), KWKT Waco (Hispanic market 45) and KETK Longview (Hispanic market 67).
Combined, these four stations reach approximately five percent of the U.S. Hispanic population, according to Liberman.
As part of the agreement, the new affiliates will have the backing of LBI Media’s wholly owned national sales organization, Spanish Media Rep Team.
The addition of the CCA affiliates brings Estrella TV closer to its goal of reaching over 70 percent of Hispanics homes this year.
Estrella TV’s programming includes music variety, comedy, game shows, news and talk shows that are geared toward U.S. Hispanics.
“By bringing our leading Estrella TV content to these four new Texas markets, we are complimenting our Estrella TV properties in Dallas and Houston,” said Lenard Liberman, executive vice president of LBI.
“It’s an exciting time for Estrella TV. We welcome the opportunity to showcase our original programming that is a clear and refreshing alternative to other Spanish-language networks.”
