In addition, the two groups will jointly produce a panel session, “Reinvention: Moving Television Forward.”
The Television Bureau of Advertising will hold its spring board of directors meeting Tuesday, April 21, during the 2009 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
“We are in an era where content delivery is constantly changing due to the advent of new technology,” said TVB President Chris Rohrs. “Holding our board meeting in conjunction with the NAB Show allows our members to view, first-hand, the latest developments impacting the media industry today.”
“We’re looking forward to the major presence TVB will have at this year’s NAB Show,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. “Both the advertising and broadcasting communities recognize the unique networking opportunities and exciting exchange of ideas that take place on the content-driven floor of the world’s largest electronic media show.”
NAB and TVB will jointly produce “Reinvention: Moving Television Forward,” a session that will feature a panel discussion among television executives. During the session, leaders in the television industry will explore how traditional revenue and programming practices might be revamped to ensure that television is successful in today’s personalized entertainment environment. The session will be held Monday, April 20, at the Las Vegas Hilton.
The TVB Board of Directors is the latest group of high-level broadcast executives to announce their participation in the NAB Show. Last week, show organizers announced that the NBC Affiliate Board of Directors will also hold meetings during the convention.
