Marci Burdick, SVP of broadcast and cable for Schurz Communications, and Brian Brady, president of Northwest Broadcasting and Eagle Creek Broadcasting, are the board’s latest members.
Marci Burdick, senior vice president of broadcast and cable for Schurz Communications, and Brian Brady, president-CEO of Northwest Broadcasting and Eagle Creek Broadcasting, have been named to the NAB Television Board of Directors.
Burdick was appointed by NAB Television Board Chairman Jim Yager, CEO of Barrington Broadcast Group. She fills the seat vacated by the retirement of Bill Peterson, senior vice president, television station group for the E.W. Scripps Co. Brady will represent the Fox Television Affiliate Board and replaces WCOV Montgomery Ala., President David Woods, whose term expired.
Burdick, who has been with Schurz for 20 years, was named senior vice president in February 2003. During her tenure, she has served as vice president of the company’s television group, as president and general manager of WAGT Augusta, Ga., and as news director at KYTV Springfield, Mo. She is the past chairperson of the Radio-Television News Directors Association, where she was the first woman elected to the position within RTNDA.
Brady founded Northwest Broadcasting and Eagle Creek Broadcasting and has been the companies’ president and CEO since 1995 and 2002, respectively. During Brady’s career, he has co-founded Soundview Media Investments and New Vision Television, and has been the president-CEO of Stainless Tower Co. He is on the board of Saga Communications and is a member of the Fox Television Affiliate Board.
