John Moody is leaving his post as head of editorial operations at Fox News Channel in order to head up a new content sharing initiative at News Corp., according to a story in the Wall Street Journal.
John Moody, who headed edtiorial operations at Fox News Channel is leaving that post to head up a newly formed content sharing unit at parent company News Corp., according to a story in the Wall Street Journal.
The story, written by Shira Ovide, says Moody will head an effort to more closely share news stories and resources across News Corp.’s businesses, which include more than 100 newspapers in the U.S., UK and Australia, plus local TV stations and pay TV channels in the U.S.
The story says Moody aims to improve news gathering efficiencies and identify areas of cost savings, and also to investigate the company’s worldwide contracts and reliance on global news services.
