NBCU Cable President Bonnie Hammer, MTV Chief Judy McGrath, Rich Ross, Head of Disney Channels Worldwide and Comcast Executive Jeff Shell are among panelists; CNN’s Ali Velshi to deliver a keynote about the economy’s impact on attendees at the annual conference in New York.
Promax|BDA announced today that it will kick off its 54th annual conference on June 16 by bringing together high-level entertainment executives to take part in a “Media Leaders Summit” panel discussion.
This year’s conference takes place from June 16-18 at the Hilton New York.
CNN’s Ali Velshi, the face of the network’s lauded economic crisis coverage, will also address attendees on how to overcome the current economic challenges facing the industry.
The Media Leaders Summit discussion will focus on new technologies, evolving business trends and the crucial role that marketing and promotion play in the monetization of media. Bonnie Hammer, president of NBC Universal Cable, Judy McGrath, chairman & CEO of MTV Networks, Rich Ross, president of Disney Channels Worldwide, and Jeff Shell, president of Comcast Programming Group, will lead a lively exchange about the state of the industry.

Ali Veshi, chief business correspondent and host of Your Money on CNN will host an exclusive session providing specific context and insight into the effects the economy has had on the television and advertising industry.
This year’s conference will also initiate crucial conversations about the change in media consumption and consumer habits across the globe. The conference theme is “Leading the New Economy of Marketing and Design” and the timely agenda will provide insight to top entertainment marketers as they navigate through these difficult economic times.
Additional sessions will include “Moving Forward in a Backward Economy,” which will discuss the challenges of the job search process within the industry, and will provide tips for securing interviews in this grueling job market.
