Rick Rogala becomes SVP-regional manager for the group’s stations in Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and Indiana as well as GM of KARK-KARZ Little Rock, Ark.
Nexstar Broadcasting Group announced today that Rick Rogala has been appointed senior vice president and regional manager for Nexstar’s 11 markets in Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and Indiana and general manager of it Little Rock, Ark., duopoly of KARK (NBC) and KARZ (MNT).
The appointment is effective July 6, and Rogala will report to Timothy Busch, co-chief operating officer of Nexstar Broadcasting.
The appointment marks Rogala’s return to Nexstar after a two year role as vice president and general manager of Media General’s WCMH Columbus, Ohio. Rogala first joined Nexstar in 2005 as VP-GM of KARK. While at KARK, Rogala directed the launch of Nexstar’s community Web portal for the Little Rock market, arkansasmatters.com, and oversaw the construction of a centralized master control, traffic and accounting hub for other Nexstar markets.
Prior to joining Nexstar, he held broadcast management positions in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Florida and began his career in the television broadcast industry in 1982.
