Underscoring its immediacy, comprehensiveness and proven ability to draw frequent visitors, TVNewsday has changed its name to TVNewsCheck on July 27.
“Readers come to TVNewsCheck four, five, even six times a day to check up on the latest news,” said Harry Jessell, founder and editor of TVNewsCheck.
“Instead of telegraphing the idea that we are a daily publication, the name TVNewsCheck signals exactly what we are: a dynamic, continuously updated news Web site that readers are constantly accessing.”
In just over three years of operation, TVNewsday had established itself as the leading source of news and information for the TV broadcasting business.
“When we created TVNewsday, we had two important goals,” said Publisher Kathy Haley. “We wanted to fill a significant need for better coverage of the broadcast television industry, and we wanted to provide readers with the most authoritative, comprehensive news service possible.
“Our readership statistics have confirmed, over and over, that a big majority of our readers have been using TVNewsday.com to check up on the news many times each day. Our name change to TVNewsCheck.com underscores this singular achievement in online business-to-business publishing.”
