Nexstar CEO Perry Sook says that he is not the person chosen by Young Broadcasting’s creditors to lead the bankrupt station group.
Nexstar CEO Perry Sook is rebutting a TVNewsCheck story posted this morning stating that he and Nexstar have been chosen to manage bankrupt Young Broadcasting’s television stations, with the exception of KRON San Francisco.
“We were not selected to be the management company,” Sook said. “Another company has been chosen to manage those stations.”
He added that, “I don’t see a connection going forward with the acquirers.”
Sook declined further comment. He did not respond to repeated requests for comment before the story was published.
