New York area television personalities will be among the members of the media taking part in the 11th annual Broadcasters Foundation of America’s Celebrity Golf Tournament on Sept. 14 at The Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, N.Y.
Some of New York City’s best known TV personalities will be swinging away for the Broadcasters Foundation of America at its annual Celebrity Golf Tournament next month just outside the city.
TV talent Dana Tyler, Chris Wragge, Maurice Dubois, Bruce Beck, Len Berman will be joined by radio personalities Scott Shannon John Gambling and Dan Patrick; cable television’s Catherine Crier; and syndicated television’s Deborah Norville. Also filling foursomes will be former NFL greats Nick Buoniconti and Ahmad Rashad and the hockey legend Wayne Gretsky,
Founded in 1998, the 11th annual event will tee off on Monday, Sept. 14, at The Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, N.Y. The tournament is played each year on a New York area golf course and is returning to Siwanoy for the first time since 2003.
Over its 11 years, the tournament has raised just over $3.2 million dollars in support of the BFOA’s mission of helping broadcasters who are in acute need.
Tournament co chairs for 2009 are Joe Bilotta, CEO of Buckley Broadcasting, and Tom O’Brien, president of WNBC New York.
The tournament is produced and directed by Gordon Hastings, of ghhMANAGEMENT.
The LPGA’s Aree Song and Kim Hall will be present to participate with each player in an Beat the Pro and Power Drive Competition.
