The Minneapolis Fox O&O will debut an hour-long news and lifestyle show from 9 to 10 a.m. beginning Sept. 14.
Fox O&O KMSP Minneapolis (DMA 15) will add a news and lifestyle program, Fox 9 News: Morning Buzz, to its morning news lineups starting Monday, Sept. 14. The hour-long program will air from 9 to 10 a.m.
Carol Rueppel, the station’s vice president-general manager, stated: “This extension to our already robust morning news lineup allows us to expand on the news stories that are of most interest and importance to our viewers.”
Hosted by morning news anchor Alix Kendall and Weekend Buzz anchor Jason Matheson, Morning Buzz will include news reports from Dawn Stevens and weather updates from meteorologist Keith Marler. The program will feature in-depth coverage of issues and events that are top of mind for Twin Cities viewers, as well as hot topics, entertainment and pop culture reports.
Each episode will include segments such as “Top Talkers,” showcasing interviews with local and national newsmakers; “Deals of the Day,” providing money saving tips for living on a budget; and “Job Shop,” helping viewers find employment or embark on a new career path.
Morning Buzz will use social media such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter to integrate viewer questions and feedback.
