The group owner gives oversight of its NBC affiliates to Jerry Watson; Tom Allen will be responsible for its ABC and Fox stations. Chuck Roth becomes director of business administration.
Quincy Newspapers Inc. announced management changes Wednesday; they become effective Oct. 12.
Jerry Watson has been named regional vice president of QNI and will have oversight of the company’s six NBC affiliates. He will remain as vice president and general manager of KTTC (NBC) in Rochester, Minn., and will be based there. The company’s other NBC affiliates are WGEM Quincy, Ill.; WREX Rockford, Ill.; KWWL Waterloo, Iowa; KTIV Sioux City, Iowa; and WVVA Bluefield, W.Va.
Watson also has responsibility for the company’s shared services agreement with KXLT (Fox) in Rochester, Minn.
Tom Allen has also been named regional vice president of QNI and will have oversight of the company’s ABC and Fox affiliates. He will remain as vice president and general manager of WKOW (ABC) in Madison, Wis., and will be based there. The company’s other ABC affiliates are WXOW-WQOW La Crosse-Eau Claire, Wis., and WAOW-WYOW Wausau-Eagle River, Wis. The company’s Fox affiliate is WSJV South Bend-Elkhart, Ind.
Chuck Roth has been named director of business administration for QNI and will work in a variety of roles. For the past year, Roth has worked on special projects for the company. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager of WXOW-WQOW. He is based in Onalaska, Wis.
