Media General has named Brad A. Moses vice president and general manager of WNCN Raleigh. He starts Nov. 9. Moses comes from Media General’s WSAV Savannah, Ga., where he’s VP-GM. Both WNCN and WSAV are NBC affiliates.
Media General has named Brad A. Moses vice president and general manager of WNCN, Media General’s NBC affiliate in Raleigh, N.C., effective Nov. 9.
Moses joins WNCN from WSAV, Media General’s NBC affiliate in Savannah, Ga., where he has been vice president and general manager since 2007.
Moses succeeds Barry Leffler, who purchased a minority ownership in WCHL-AM in Chapel Hill, N.C., and is now managing the station.
Under Moses’ leadership, WSAV won three regional Edward R. Murrow awards in 2008 for outstanding journalism and received 12 awards from the Georgia Associated Press Broadcasters Association in 2009, including the organization’s Pacemaker Award for the state’s Outstanding News Organization.
In early 2009, WSAV’s digital channel MyTV launched MyLowcountry3, a one-hour, live news program focused on South Carolina communities, issues and interests.
From 2002 to 2007, Moses was director of marketing at WFLA, Media General’s NBC affiliate in Tampa, Fla., where he developed and implemented long-term, strategic promotion, branding and image plans, as well as coordinating marketing programs with The Tampa Tribune and TBO.com.
Prior to joining Media General, Moses was promotion manager at WLS Chicago; operations manager and director of creative services at WTVG Toledo, Ohio; and post production manager at WTOL Toledo.
Moses graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in communications.
