In addition to the appointment of Dave Lougee, president of Gannett’s broadcast division, TVB names two additions to its board, Peter Dunn, president of CBS Television Stations, and Jane Williams, VP of sales, Cox Media Group.
Dave Lougee, president of Gannett’s broadcast division, has been named vice chairman of the board of the Television Bureau of Advertising. Additionally, it was announced that Peter Dunn, president of CBS Television Stations, and Jane Williams, VP of sales, Cox Media Group, have joined the TVB board.
“I am very pleased that Dave Lougee has agreed to serve as vice chairman,” said Frank Comerford, chairman of the TVB board and NBC Local Media’s president of platform development and commercial operations. “And with the addition of Peter and Jane, we will continue to have the industry’s best and brightest on our board.”
Lougee has been in his present position at Gannett, overseeing the company’s 23 television stations, since July 2007. He had previously been executive vice president/media operations at Belo and in charge of the company’s 19 TV stations and four cable news operations outside of Dallas.
In 2005, he was a senior vice president of Belo. He joined Belo in 1998 as news director at KING Seattle, Wash., becoming president and general manager of Belo’s TV and cable operations in Seattle-Tacoma in 2000.
Dunn was named to his present position last month and oversees the operations of CBS’s 29-station portfolio. He had previously been president and general manager of WCBS New York, president of sales for the CBS Television Stations, and president and general manager of CBS’s Philadelphia duopoly, KYW-WPSG.
Williams has been in her present position since January 2009 and previously was vice president of sales for Cox Television and general sales manager of WSB Atlanta.
