LIN will run Acme’s KWBQ and KASY Albuquerque-Santa Fe, N.M.; WBDT Dayton, Ohio; and WIWB Green Bay-Appleton, Wis.
LIN TV Corp. today announced that it and Acme Communications, Inc. have entered into shared services and related agreements for Acme ‘s KWBQ and KASY in Albuquerque-Santa Fe, N.M. (DMA 44); WBDT Dayton, Ohio (DMA 65); and WIWB Green Bay-Appleton, Wis. (DMA 70).
Under the terms of the agreements, LIN will provide technical, engineering, promotional, administrative and other operational support services from its stations KRQE and KASA in Albuquerque-Santa Fe, WDTN in Dayton and WLUK in Green Bay.
In addition, LIN will provide advertising sales services under a joint sales agreement for the Acme stations in Dayton and Green Bay-Appleton. The companies said the deals are expected to provide “operating synergies and expense savings to both parties in each of the markets. “
In making the announcement, Vincent L. Sadusky, presidentCEO of LIN Media, said, “This arrangement leverages LIN Media’s core strengths in operating leading local multimedia platforms and allows both parties to enjoy the benefits of greater economies of scale.”
