Clark Morehouse to lead Tribune Entertainment as EVP/general manager; Marc Schacher named SVP of programming and development.
Tribune Broadcasting today announced the promotions of two executives, effective immediately. L. Clark Morehouse III was appointed executive vice president/general manager of Tribune Entertainment Co., Tribune’s Los Angeles-based television programming and distribution business. In addition, Marc S. Schacher was named senior vice president/programming and development of Tribune Broadcasting.
Morehouse will oversee all aspects of Tribune Entertainment operations, including sales. He has served TEC as senior vice president/advertising sales since joining the company in 2000.
“Clark is a solid leader and well connected in the advertising and television industries,” said John Reardon, Tribune Broadcasting president. “His strong sales orientation and management skills will serve Tribune Entertainment well as we work to accelerate revenue growth.”
Schacher joined Tribune in 1979 and since 1995 has served as vice president/programming and development. He’ll continue to be responsible for meeting the common programming needs of the Tribune television group, a key role that includes negotiating with syndicators and distributors for specific program acquisitions and packages.
“Marc’s terrific instincts in the programming field have been a great benefit to our local stations over the years,” Reardon said. “Most recently, he was instrumental in our acquisition of off-net syndication rights to the hit sitcoms Two and a Half Men and Family Guy, which will each join our lineups in fall 2007.”
