WTIC Hartford Makes Anchor Moves

Tribune’s Fox affiliate WTIC Hartford, Conn. (DMA 30), today announced anchor changes to its morning and evening newscasts.

Beginning Sunday, Sept. 18, Alison Morris and Brent Hardin will debut as the new anchor team of the 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts The duo will anchor the news Sunday through Thursday. Meteorologists Rachel Frank and Geoff Fox will continue forecasting weather at 10 and 11.

The next day, Monday, Sept. 19, Erika Arias and Logan Byrnes will debut as the new anchor team of the WTIC’s  news at 5–9 a.m. Byrnes will continue anchoring the 4:30 a.m. half hour. Arias has anchored the 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts for the past three years.

Jennifer Bosworth and Audrey Kuchen will anchor on Friday and Saturday nights.

On Sept. 24, Tim Lammers will take over primary anchor duties on Saturday mornings; Rich Coppola will anchor Sunday mornings. They will be joined by Meteorologist Dan Amarante each weekend morning.

These moves come as Sarah French announces her departure from anchoring the WTIC morning news. French has accepted the weekend anchor position at WHDH Boston.
