The Columbus, Ga., NBC and CW affiliate, WLTZ, is the last of the group’s stations to be repped by Continental.
Continental Television Sales, a division of the Katz Television Group, today announced that it will represent Sagamore Hill’s NBC and CW affiliate WLTZ Columbus, Ga. (DMA 127)
WLTZ joins all other Sagamore Hill stations already represented by Continental TV, including one recently acquired in Montgomery, Ala., as well as stations in Cheyenne, Wyo; Laredo, Texas; Mason City, Iowa; and Myrtle Beach, S.C. Continental TV will begin representing WLTZ immediately.
“We are pleased to expand our Sagamore Hill relationship to yet another new market,” said Michael Spiesman, president of Continental TV Sales. “We have had a special relationship with Louis Wall that has spanned decades. We believe our representation efforts can elevate WLTZ and the CW to a new level in Columbus, Georgia, through the dedicated talents of our team. We look forward to working together to make that happen.”
“We tried the ‘self-rep’ route with our Columbus properties but when we compared their performance to our Continental represented properties, we knew we were falling short,” said Louis Wall, president of Sagamore Hill Broadcasting. “Continental TV’s proven track record with our other stations makes us excited for this new opportunity in Columbus. We know their reps will devote their resources and expertise to ensuring great growth and expansion for our stations. We look forward to advancing WLTZ and the CW with Continental’s representation.”
