Katz’s Continental division replaces Cox Reps at seven stations: WKBW Buffalo (ABC); WMYD Detroit (MNT); KDLH Duluth, Minn. (CBS); WISE Ft. Wayne, Ind. (NBC); KSEE Fresno, Calif. (NBC); WHOI Peoria, Ill. (ABC); and KOFY San Francisco (independent).
Katz Television Group’s Continental Television Sales today announced that it will provide exclusive national representation for all Granite Broadcasting stations, including those Granite operates under shared services agreements.
A long-time client, this new deal adds seven stations to Continental’s roster: WKBW Buffalo (ABC); WMYD Detroit (MNT); KDLH Duluth, Minn. (CBS); WISE Ft. Wayne, Ind. (NBC); KSEE Fresno, Calif. (NBC); WHOI Peoria, Ill. (ABC); and KOFY San Francisco (independent).
The stations have been represented by Cox Reps, according to a Katz spokeswoman.
“We are excited for the chance to fully represent Granite and its premier television properties,” said Michael Spiesman, president, Continental Television Sales, in a prepared statement.
“Continental was privileged to have represented a portion of Granite’s portfolio but to be chosen as their exclusive representative is a vote of confidence that brings tremendous pride to all of us.”
“We are pleased to further our partnership with Continental by bringing them on board as our exclusive representatives,” said Granite COO Duane Lammers. “We had the opportunity to compare representation options and concluded that Continental Television Sales is the right choice for Granite Broadcasting, today, and long into the future.”
Continental represents more than 185 stations and maintains 16 sales offices.
