Les Vann, president and general manager of WTVH Syracuse, N.Y., has been promoted to the newly created position of EVP, central & southern New York, it was announced yesterday.
In this position, Vann will continue to oversee WTVH and take on management responsibilities for newly acquired WBNG, the CBS affiliate serving Binghamton and Elmira, N.Y. Mr.
“I am thrilled and honored by this opportunity Granite Broadcasting has given me,” Vann said in a statement. “I know that we can build new synergies between these two great local television stations and grow both properties as a result.”
In connection with the Vann promotion, Granite also promoted Matt Rosenfeld from general sales manager at WTVH to VP, station/sales manager there. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the station when Mr. Vann is absent.
In Binghamton, Bob Krummenacker was promoted VP/Station Manager at WBNG. He will oversee the day-to-day operations as well as all sales functions at the station.
