The group owner promotes its director of interactive/new media sales to oversee all multiplatform sales efforts for the company’s television stations, interactive websites and mobile products.
LIN TV Corp. today promoted Michael Kelly to vice president sales.
A 30-year veteran of the broadcast industry, he joined LIN Media in 2004 as national sales manager and director of sales for WALA-WBPG (now WFNA) Mobile, Ala. In 2007, he worked at an Internet startup before returning to the company in 2008 as director of interactive/new media sales, where, the company said, “he was instrumental in building a digital culture at each television station and furthering LIN Media’s transformation to a multimedia company.”
In his new role, Kelly will oversee all multiplatform sales efforts for the company’s television stations, interactive websites and mobile products.
Kelly is a member of TVB, Interactive Advertising Bureau and several other industry associations, and has authored several articles on sales and leadership development in a number of industry publications. He holds a B.S. in business management from the University of Maryland.
