The WISH-produced evening newscast on sister station WNDY will become an hour starting on Monday, Jan. 6.
LIN-owned CBS affiliate WISH Indianapolis (DMA 26) will expand its 10 p.m. newscast, which airs on co-owned MNT affiliate WNDY, to one hour beginning Monday, Jan. 6. 24-Hour News 8 at 10 P.M. on MyINDY-TV 23 is one of the market’s only prime time newscasts.
“We’re providing expanded coverage and more content at a time desired by Central Indiana viewers,” said Steve Bray, WISH news director. “24-Hour News 8 is offering viewers a news choice at 10 p.m. on MyINDY-TV or 11 p.m. on WISH-TV.”
24-Hour News 8 at 10 P.M., anchored by Eric Halvorson, and Brooke Martin, will provide expanded coverage of the day’s events, the latest updates on developing stories and in-depth investigations, according to the station.
Also on the news team are meteorologist Robb Ellis and Sports Director Anthony Calhoun, who will host “Sports Zone Tonight,” during the last 15 minutes of the newscast, providing more in-depth coverage and highlights of the Colts, Pacers and college and high school sports.
