Former WB executive will oversee the network’s sales and planning operations.
Rob Tuck has been named executive vice president, sales and planning, of The CW, it was announced today by Bill Morningstar, CW head of sales, to whom Tuck will report.
In his new role, Tuck will oversee the network’s sales and planning operations, which include revenue projections, establishing inventory pricing, marketplace forecasting, as well as oversight of audience projections. In addition, he will continue to manage The CW’s sales forces in Chicago and Detroit. He will also oversee ad sales on www.cwtv.com.
“With his background in research, media buying and as an account executive, Rob brings an incredibly diverse set of skills and expertise to this critical position, which is vital given the number of hats that he’s required to wear,” said Morningstar. “Sales and Planning is an important element of any successful sales organization, and no one is better suited to tackle this responsibility than Rob.”
Prior to CW, Tuck had been WB senior vice president, national sales since 2002. He joined the WB in 1995 during its first broadcast season, rising through the ranks serving as vice president of East Coast sales, vice president of Western sales and vice president of pricing.
Before joining WB, Tuck worked as senior vice president, group director of national broadcast at TeleVest (now MediaVest) and as a research manager for MMT.
