The Motor City TV executive and former WMYD GM moves to Adell Broadcasting’s independent station.
Adell Broadcasting Corp.-owned independent WADL Detroit (DMA 11) has hired David Bangura as president and general manager. WMYD was acquired by Scripps, and began to operate as a duopoly with its ABC affiliate WXYZ, last week.
Bangura has worked for 14 years at Detroit’s MNT affiliate WMYD, starting as general sales manager and then as GM since 2009.
Prior to that, he was an account executive at WJBK Detroit.
