The Univision O&O wins Tuesday’s 6 o’clock local competition in three key demos as well as the network news race at 6:30 p.m.
Univision’s WXTV New York had the market’s No. 1 newscast Tuesday at both 6 and 6:30 p.m.
Noticias Univision 41 (Univision 41 News) with anchors Rafael Pineda and Denisse Oller won the 6 p.m. local news race with 50,000 viewers aged 18-34, 248,000 viewers 18-49, and 261,000 viewers 25-54, according to Nielsen Station Index (NSI) Local People Meter (LPM) ratings. Telemundo’s WNJU placed second among 18-34s with 32,000 viewers. WCBS placed second among those 18-49s with 111,000 viewers. WABC was second among 25-54s with 215,000 viewers.
In the 6:30 p.m. network news race, Noticiero Univision (Univision News) with anchors Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas also won New York’s ratings race in all three key audience categories. Noticiero Univision attracted 65,000 18-34s, 255,000 18-49s and 269,000 25-54s. In each case, WABC placed second with 40,000, 156,000 and 261,000 viewers, respectively for ABC’s World News.
