WJBK Promotes Jay Towers To A.M. News Anchor

Fox-owned WJBK Detroit (DMA 11) today named Jay Towers anchor of the weekday morning Fox 2 Morning News. Effective Aug. 25, Towers will anchor from 6 to 9 a.m. alongside Anqunette Jamison.

He will continue to host his weekday morning radio program Jay Towers in the Morning on WNIC-FM from WJBK’s studio.

Towers joined WJBK in February 2004 and most recently was weekend anchor and feature reporter for Fox 2 News Weekend, a position he has held for the last 10 years. He began his career as a radio DJ when he was 14 years old for WJRZ-FM Manahawkin, N.J.
