He joins the trade group from WTSP Tampa, Fla., and will help members drive new business by using selling tools, training, research and other resources.
TVB today named Brian Wexler vice president, local division. Wexler brings more than 24 years of broadcast, sales and marketing leadership experience to his new role at TVB. He will assume his responsibilities immediately and report to Brad Seitter, EVP, business development.
TVB said Wexler will be responsible for working with members to create category-specific presentations further establishing local broadcast television as the leading medium for advertisers and agencies to allocate their marketing dollars. He will also work closely with station account executives to promote eBusiness process efficiencies and provide training via webinars, webcasts and in-person meetings.
Wexler has extensive cross-platform business development experience and a long-term record of success. Beginning in 1991 he has served as a local, regional and national sales manager for a number of local stations owned by leading broadcast networks and their affiliates, including Tegna, CBS Television and Fox Television. He joins TVB from Tegna’s WTSP Tampa, Fla., where he was director of national multimedia accounts.
