Greg Easterly joins KTVT and KTXA from Fox’s WJW Cleveland.
Greg Easterly has been named vice president of news for CBS-owned KTVT Dallas-Ft. Worth (CBS) and co-owned KTXA (independent). Easterly will join the stations in mid-January.
He joins the stations from Cleveland’s WJW (a Fox O&O), where he has been vice president of news for the past 10 years. Prior to that, Easterly worked in markets including Phoenix, Tulsa, Beaumont and San Angelo, both Texas.
“We feel that Greg will be a great leader for our team,” said KTVT-KTXA President and General Manager Steve Mauldin. “He is a tremendously talented individual with an aggressive approach to newsgathering, who understands our market. His background as a native Texan will be a great asset, and we’re looking forward to working with him.”
“This is an exciting opportunity for me, both personally and professionally,” Easterly said. “I am delighted to be returning to my home state, and I see terrific growth potential for both the … news products.”
