FCC Schedules Incentive Auction Workshop
On Friday, March 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET, the FCC’s Incentive Auction Task Force, in conjunction with the Media and Wireless Telecommunications Bureaus, will host a public workshop on the procedures for making an initial commitment in the reverse auction.
The workshop will include a demonstration of the initial commitment bidding system. In addition, Commission staff will present a preview of the reverse auction bidding system for the clock phase of the auction.
The workshop will be held in the Commission Meeting Room at FCC Headquarters in Washington and is open to the public. All attendees are advised to arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to allow time to go through the security process for admission to FCC Headquarters.
Attendees are encouraged to register by submitting their names and company affiliations via email to [email protected] in order to expedite the check-in process the day of the event, putting “Initial Commitment Workshop” as the subject line in the email.
The workshop will also be available for remote viewing. Details about remote viewing will be released at a later date. During the event, those watching remotely may email event-related questions to [email protected]. After the event, a recording of the workshop will be available for streaming. The email address [email protected] will remain available for questions. Attendance at the workshop is not a prerequisite for making an initial commitment, but the commission said it strongly encourages applicants interested in making an initial commitment to attend or view the recorded version of the event.
