Mary Beth McAdaragh to oversee relations with the new network’s 175 affiliates. She will report to EVP Paul Franklin.
Mary Beth McAdaragh has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president, affiliate relations, of MyNetworkTV, effective immediately.
McAdaragh will be responsible for overseeing all MNT affiliate relations. The network currently has 175 affiliates, representing more than 97% of the United States. Based in Los Angeles, she will report directly to Paul Franklin, the network’s executive vice president.
Most recently, McAdaragh was senior vice president, business development, for the Los Angeles-based advertising/promotion agency Launch Pad Productions. While there, she was responsible in securing new business for the company, as well as implementing MNT’s major 30-market promotional tour last summer leading up to the network’s September 2006 launch.
Between 2000 and 2005, she was vice president, marketing, for NBC Universal Television Distribution in Burbank, where she was responsible for the production of all promotion and the development and execution of marketing and advertising campaigns for all syndicated programming, including off-network series Providence, Crossing Jordan and Ed, as well as such first-run programs as Access Hollywood and Starting Over.
In 2001 McAdaragh executive produced the first season of the Food Network series Surreal Gourmet.
Before joining NBC Universal, McAdaragh oversaw promotion and marketing for CBS/Eyemark Entertainment. During her four years with the company as vice president, she spearheaded the marketing and advertising plans for the off-network syndication of CBS’s Everybody Loves Raymond and NBC’s Caroline in the City. In addition, she developed and executed marketing campaigns for a diverse array of first-run syndicated series, ranging from Martha Stewart Living to The Howard Stern Radio Show.
Prior to CBS/Eyemark, McAdaragh spent eight years with Columbia Tri-Star Television Distribution (now Sony Pictures Television), where she started as a research analyst and ascended through the ranks to management positions within the sales and marketing division, handling a number of programs, including Seinfeld, Ricki Lake and Who’s the Boss?
