The veteran correspondent, talk show host and moderator of The View continues her sideline into game show hosting with 25 Words or Less. She says her interviewing skills and empathy from journalism made the shift less dramatic than it sounds, and her next act may be podcasting.
It’s not yet December and already TV stations know with certainty that two of this year’s new shows will return, with two more rookies likely to get second-season renewals. Moreover, stations also already know two more big shows are coming down the pike next year, bringing the total to six before we’ve even hit 2020.

Distributed by Twentieth Television, the new game show with Meredith Vieira, is slotted for debut this fall in 125 markets so far.

The new game show will debut Aug. 6 for three-weeks on Fox O&Os in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Charlotte, N.C.
