Just about two years after NBC O&O WNBC New York got out of the 5 o’clock news business altogether, the station is going to launch a new newscast there in September.
The Post-Newsweek Orlando, Fla., CBS affiliate will bring back a half-hour 5 p.m. newscast in early September, the station announced this morning. “We listened to our viewers,” GM Skip Valet said. “Viewers wanted news at 5. I respect that. We’re ready to do this.”
