David DePape, the man caught on police body camera viciously attacking Paul Pelosi with a hammer and who has been charged with attempted murder, called KTVU San Frandiscio’s reporter Amber Lee in the newsroom on Friday. “I want to apologize to everyone. I messed up. What I did was really bad. I’m so sorry I didn’t get more of them. It’s my own fault. No one else is to blame. I should have come better prepared,” DePape said in the taped five-minute conversation with Lee.
