Rivals Staff KFDM During Memorial Service
The Beaumont, Texas, CBS affiliate’s noon newscast on Friday was a little unusual: It was anchored by a newscaster from the local Fox affiliate KBTV and the weather was done by a meteorologist from ABC affiliate KBMT. The reason? So KFDM staffers could attend a memorial service for anchor Bill Leger, who was killed in a car accident on Dec. 22.
