Bill McColdrick has found his next job after stepping down as president of original content at NBCUniversal Entertainment Networks and Direct-to-Consumer last November amid restructuring. The well-liked veteran TV development executive has joined Peter Chernin’s Chernin Entertainment as EVP of film and television.

Bill McGoldrick will continue to oversee scripted and unscripted for cable networks including USA and Syfy on top of the forthcoming direct-to-consumer platform, while Alex Sepiol will serve as head of drama.

Olmstead, Cheeks Promoted In NBCU Reorg

NBCUniversal is firming up its executive ranks after longtime executive Jeff Wachtel’s departure for an international position. Dawn Olmstead and George Cheeks have been promoted to co-presidents of Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios, reporting to NBCU Cable Entertainment chairman Bonnie Hammer. Additionally, Bill McGoldrick has been upped from EVP of scripted content to president of scripted content at NBCU Cable Entertainment. He will now report to Hammer.
