FCC Broadband Access Claims Under Scrutiny

The FCC is being scrutinized over its claims that its deregulatory agenda has led to record gains in the private sector’s efforts to expand access to high-speed internet in rural and underserved communities.

The committee will focus on developing specific recommendations on how the FCC can encourage broadband deployment across America to close “the digital divide … between those who can use cutting-edge communications services and those who do not,” according to Chairman Ajit Pai.
