BOFA Hurricane Grants: $50K And Rising

The Broadcasters Foundation of America has already distributed $50,000 in emergency aid to broadcasters impacted by Hurricane Harvey and $100,000 in projected grants are slated for Hurricane Irma-affected broadcasters. The foundation raised $250,000 at its Celebrity Golf Tournament last week. 

BFA Can Help Broadcasters Hit By Harvey

The Broadcasters Foundationof America’s emergency relief program distributes one-time grants of $1,000 each after a disaster, such as a hurricane, tornado, fire, flood or other serious misfortune. The expedited emergency grant application process is streamlined to provide assistance as quickly as possible to broadcasters affected.

On Monday evening in New York, $280,000 was raised to help broadcasters in need in honor of Paul Karpowicz, Meredith Broadcasting Group president and recipient of the Broadcasters Foundation of America 2017 Golden Mike Award. The foundation also presented its 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award to Bill Hoffman, retired president of Cox Media Group.
