The 2022-23 TV season has its first casualty. CBS’s dating show The Real Love Boat has been pulled from the broadcast network after four episodes. It will finish out its season on Paramount+.

CBS Launches A New Performers With Disabilities Talent Initiative, Tied To Upcoming TV Season

CBS is expanding its representation and inclusion programs to launch a new “CBS Performers with Disabilities Talent Initiative.” The plan, which starts with the upcoming 2022-23 TV season, is to make sure the network’s programming includes “meaningful representation and inclusion for all underrepresented groups, including performers with disabilities in series regular, guest star or co-starring roles in current series and pilots, playing characters specifically written with a disability as well as roles that do not specify one.”

KCNC In Denver Adds 10 Hours Of Newscasts

CBS To Air NWSL Championship In Primetime

The NWSL Championship is finally moving to primetime on CBS. On Tuesday, the league, CBS and Ally Financial announced this season’s final will be played in Washington at Audi Field on Oct. 29. Best of all, the match will move from its originally planned time of noon ET to 8 p.m., “following a recent collaborative effort by Ally, CBS and the league,” according to the official news release.

Big Ten Lands $7 Billion, NFL-Style TV Contracts

The Big Ten announced Thursday it has reached seven-year agreements with Fox, CBS and NBC to share the rights to the conference’s football and basketball games. The deals go into effect in 2023, expire in 2030 and eventually will allow the conference’s soon-to-be 16 member universities to share more than $1 billion per year, pushing the total value of the agreements past $7 billion, a person familiar with the terms said.

Nick Faldo Retires From The CBS Golf Booth

Longtime CBS golf broadcaster Nick Faldo is taking off his headset after 16 years. Faldo bid farewell Sunday during the final round of the 2022 Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The six-time major champion was honored with a plaque behind the ninth green on the club’s Wall of Fame. The broadcast featured emotional messages from Faldo’s former and current colleagues both on and off the golf course.

Thursday’s ‘Big Brother’ Elimination Delayed Due To Jan. 6 Hearing

The next Jan. 6 hearings will take place on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, which means they will be replacing several networks’ planned scheduling, including Thursday’s eviction from Big Brother on CBS. CBS Evening News will air a live special report on Thursday. That bumps the Big Brother eviction to Friday at 8 p.m. ET for a one-time pairing with the Season 2 premiere of the Paramount+ series Blood & Treasure at 9, followed by a repeat of Blue Bloods at 10.

CBS Sets Fall Premiere Dates
