TV Station Owner Carolyn Chambers Dies

Carolyn Chambers, founder-CEO of Chambers Communications, which owns four Oregon stations — KEZI, KOHD, KDRV and KDKF — died Monday after a long fight with cancer. She was 79. She was also the founder of cable operator Liberty Communications which was sold in 1983 to John Malone for $186 million.

Dish Restores 3 Chambers Stations In Oregon

Dish Network has reached a new programming agreement with Chambers Communications Corp., restoring KEZI Eugene, KDRV Medford and KOHD Bend that had been missing from its lineup since mid-December.

Oregon Stations Go Dark On Dish

Dish Network said Thursday that Chambers Communications pulled its ABC affiliates in Bend, Eugene, Klamath Falls and Medford, Ore., from the satellite service at 12:01 a.m. on Dec. 16 after the two could not reach an agreement.
