Colo. B’casters Raise $1.1M For Flood Relief

Following the devestating flooding that destroyed thousands of homes and killed 10 people, Colorado residents responded in big numbers, donating more than $1.1 million during a Wednesday telethon on KRMA, the local PBS affiliate.

Denver Stations Slot Flood Relief Telethon

Colorado TV stations in conjunction with the Red Cross will hold a telethon Wednesday, Sept. 18, 4-10:30 p.m. on Rocky Mountain PBS ch. 6. In the face of a growing disaster zone and a massive airlift, broadcasters will collaborate to raise funds for those affected by the Colorado flooding. The telethon will be headquartered in the RMPBS studios; the governor will make an appearance during the telecast. KCNC, KDVR, KMGH, KUSA, KRMA, KOA, KCEC and others will participate.
