Glee Executive Producer Ryan Murphy says the tribute will address the death of Finn, the character Monteith played on the Fox network high school musical series. That show will be the season’s third episode, following two episodes that had already been written.
The British Columbia coroner’s office says in a statement Tuesday that “there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a most tragic accident” involving heroin and alcohol.

The Canadian-born Monteith, who played star quarterback-turned-singer Finn Hudson on the Fox TV series about a high school glee club, was found dead in his room on the 21st floor of the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel on Vancouver’s waterfront at about noon Saturday. Police said there was no indication of foul play.
Glee regulars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer will not be back for the fourth season of the Fox musical hit. Series co-creator Ryan Murphy said that the three regulars will be among the characters who graduate at the end of the fall’s upcoming third season.
