Fox Cancels Three Comedies

Fox cleaned the comedy deck today, pulling the plug on freshman series Dads, Enlisted and Surviving Jack and passing on half-hour pilots Fatrick, Dead Boss and No Place Like Home.

The watchdog group is urging its members to submit indecency complaints against the Fox comedy for an episode it says featured”an implied depiction of and references to semen, and references to masturbation.”

Fox Moving ‘Glee’ Back To Tuesday

Fox is rethinking its midseason schedule, and it’s not a huge vote of confidence for comedies The Mindy Project and Dads. Both series will go on hiatus in early winter, and, beginning Feb. 25, Glee will get an earlier than expected spring premiere in its old time slot of 8 p.m. on Tuesdays. The only series that won’t move in the current two-hour comedy block is New Girl, which will continue to air at 9 p.m.

Fox’s ‘Dads’ Gets Full-Season Order

Fox has finalized a back-nine order to comedy Dads. The pickup means that Fox has become the only major broadcast network to give episodic orders (full-season ones to Dads and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, second season one to Sleepy Hollow) to all of its new scripted fall series that have premiered.
