David E. Kelley is getting into business with another streaming service. The prolific writer and producer has scored a series order at NBCUniversal’s Peacock for a drama titled The Missing. The eight-episode mystery, based on The Missing File by Israeli author Dror A. Mishani, centers on an NYPD detective named Avraham Avraham, who begins to question his humanity when a seemingly routine investigation turns upside down.
David E. Kelley Dismisses Return To Broadcast
In the latest high-profile limited series package to hit the marketplace, Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon are set to star in Big Little Lies, a limited series, which is being written by Emmy winner David E Kelley. The project is expected to be taken out to buyers soon.
Other inductees by the Television Academy this year are Julia Louis-Dreyfus; David E. Kelley; and former ABC executive Brandon Stoddard, who shepherded breakthrough shows including Roots. Sound pioneer Ray Dolby was inducted posthumously.
