CBS, ‘Young & Restless’ Lead Daytime Emmys

Two longtime soaps, CBS’s Young and the Restless and ABC’s General Hospital, lead the Daytime Emmy Award nominations announced today. The May 1 awards ceremony, however, will not broadcast on TV. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has nixed plans for a telecast of the ceremony because of the cost.
